Native New Yorker Jane Epstein has always known that dining out is about much more than the meal. Her elegance and timeless style are an integral part of the four successful restaurants she has been a partner in over the past two decades.

In 2002 Jane and partner Chris Cannon collaborated with Jane's long-time friend, designer Vicente Wolf, to open L'Impero. It was an immediate success receiving rave reviews in The New York Times for both its outstanding cuisine and high design. Against the backdrop of one of New York City's most romantic streets, L'Impero, now named Convivio, remains a timeless gem.

Jane, Vicente and Chris continued their winning streak with Alto, which opened in 2005 and has seen unprecedented success since executive chef Michael White took over the kitchen in 2007. The desire to create this kind of experience; where food, service and atmosphere work in unison have been a goal of Jane's since the beginning.
